FRANCHISEOWNERSHIP LLC operates franchiseownership.com, including Ownership Match and Chat. This policy describes how we handle information you give us or that is collected when you visit.

Information we collect

• Ownership Match quiz answers, and your name and email when you unlock your ranked matches.
• Your first name and messages when you start or use Chat.
• If you choose to continue by text: your US mobile number, your consent choice, when and where you consented, and related technical details such as your IP address and browser information.
• A newsletter email address if you submit one. The current newsletter form stores your submission in your browser.
• Basic technical and usage information, such as page visits, device and browser information, IP address, and site interactions. Our site uses a Meta PageView pixel.

How we use information

We use your quiz answers and contact details to unlock and deliver ranked Match results and follow up about franchise research or consulting. We also operate Chat with Mike and Franchise Ownership advisors, respond to inquiries, and improve the site. We send SMS only as one-to-one conversation replies after you initiate Chat and opt in to texts. We do not use SMS for marketing blasts or shared lead lists. We do not sell personal data or leads to third parties.

Chat and SMS consent

Texts are only for one-to-one replies about your inquiry after you initiate Chat, provide a US mobile number, and affirmatively consent. Consent is optional; you can chat on the site without giving a number. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Sharing and advertising

We share information with service providers needed to run the site, including hosting, email, and SMS providers such as Twilio, acting on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information, sell leads, or share quiz answers, chat messages, or SMS opt-in data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Our Meta PageView pixel may transmit basic visit and device data to Meta; depending on applicable law, that activity may be considered sharing for cross-context advertising.

Retention and security

We keep information as long as reasonably needed to provide our services, respond to inquiries, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes, then delete or de-identify it when appropriate. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Location and children

Our services are focused on the United States. They are not directed to children under 18, including children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
